The project
The multi-award-winning Enchanted Forest has become one of Scotland’s top autumn attractions, drawing thousands to Pitlochry and extending the tourist season beyond summer. LCI were commissioned by the Enchanted Forest Community Trust to deliver two key elements that combined water, light, and sound to enhance the visitor experience.

The challenge
While Pitlochry sees around 70,000 visitors per year, numbers traditionally fall in the autumn and winter months. The challenge was to create an immersive, sensory-rich experience that would draw visitors through a walkthrough attraction, while complementing the forest’s existing displays and maintaining a magical, natural atmosphere.

The solution
LCI delivered two standout installations:
The Cascading Bridge: A wooden bridgeway with a pulsating downward rain curtain effect on both sides, illuminated with rainbow-coloured LEDs to create a dynamic, tactile experience.
Two Major water show pieces:
‘Oir an Usage’- the flagship show combining water, light, and sound.
‘Belisama’ – a Celtic-inspired finale celebrating the lochs, lakes, and rivers of the Highlands, using fountains and water effects to create a truly immersive experience.

The impact
The enhancements helped position the Enchanted Forest as a sell-out, award-winning attraction, extending the tourist season in Pitlochry and delighting visitors with multi-sensory experiences that combine sound, light, and water.
