AR Experience
The project
We were commissioned to create an immersive multimedia experience for Frozen Planet at SEA LIFE. The project involved bringing to life the stark beauty and fragile ecosystems of polar regions, through engaging visual displays, installations, and storytelling content.

The challenge
Firstly, the core challenge included translating the scale and majesty of icy landscapes into indoor aquarium setting. As well as, making sure the visuals felt authentic and immersive without overwhelming the aquatic environment.
Secondly, was designing content that would both educate as well as captivate diverse audiences, from children to adult visitors, while keeping exhibition logistics, space, and technical constraints in mind.

The solution
We developed original visual content, projection mapping, immersive lighting, and interactive or ambient elements that evoke the polar environment. We worked to ensure that all installations were calibrated for indoor aquatic conditions, balancing light, reflections, and space. The experience was designed to flow so visitors feel transported through ice, snow, and wildlife scenes, with supporting auditory and ambient effects enhancing the sense of place.

The impact
The resulting Frozen Planet experience became a standout feature at SEA LIFE, increasing visitor dwell time, enhancing visitor satisfaction, and reinforcing the institution’s educational mission. It succeeded in raising awareness of polar environments among the public, contributing to repeat visits and strengthening the attraction’s reputation for high-quality immersive exhibits.
