Kuala Lumpur International Light and Music Festival

Show Design & Delivery

The project

The 25th annual World Gas Conference celebrations were amplified by the dazzling Festival of Light at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur. Spanning five nights, this massive event demanded a spectacular light show that could captivate an international audience of nearly 20,000 visitors.

The challenge

To design and deliver a breathtaking multi-night light and multimedia show that seamlessly integrated live music, lasers, dancing fountains, 3D projection mapping, LED screens, and fireworks all coordinated flawlessly for a record-breaking crowd.

The solution

Creative & Technical Show Design: We crafted the entire show design and provided expert direction to bring the event to life.
3D Projection Mapping Content: The in-house LCI team in London produced all projection content, combining:

  • CGI animation
  • Visual effects
  • Live-action film shoots
These elements were blended to create visually dramatic and inspiring shows tailored to the festival’s energy.

On-site Execution:
The LCI team supervised a dedicated team of programmers to produce a multimedia spectacle every evening. The team expertly cued and directed the live running of all components, ensuring smooth transitions and peak audience engagement.

The impact

The Festival of Light became the highlight of the World Gas Conference, setting new records for attendance and audience delight. The immersive, multi-sensory experience elevated Kuala Lumpur’s skyline and left guests from around the world with unforgettable memories.
