Water Show Spectacular
The project
LCI partnered with ITW to develop a spectacular night-time water show for a new theme park on Ocean Flower Island, Hainan. The show fused live performers, parade floats, and advanced projection mapping into an unforgettable evening experience.
The challenge
As one of the landmark attractions for the new theme park, the water show needed to balance cultural storytelling with cutting-edge technology. The production had to bring a classic Chinese fable to life while incorporating advanced water effects, projection mapping, and live performance, all staged outdoors on a vast water arena.
The solution
Drawing on decades of show design expertise, LCI worked closely with ITW to develop the creative concept and technical specification, ensuring the project was both achievable and financially sustainable. The show was designed to feature performers on illuminated “drone” parade floats, dramatic water effects, and a projection-mapped fairy-tale tower as its central visual anchor. Scene by scene, the narrative unfolds with performers, special effects and immersive projections building to a large-scale finale.
The impact
LCI provided a full turnkey service, including concept development, technical design, and budgeting. Their input ensured the show could deliver on its ambitious creative vision while remaining feasible in terms of technology and cost. The result is a spectacular attraction that combines storytelling, culture, and technology to create a signature experience for Ocean Flower Island’s visitors.
