Light Trail Experience
The project
Lumières en Seine is an enchanting winter event held at the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, located to the west of Paris. The event transforms the historic park into a magical 2 km illuminated trail, featuring over 25 unique light installations. Visitors embark on a nocturnal journey through themed areas such as the Route des Étoiles, the Symphony of Elements, and the Cosmic Forest, immersing themselves in a festive and immersive experience.
The challenge
The primary challenge was to create an immersive and magical experience that would captivate visitors of all ages while ensuring the installations were durable and weather-resistant. The outdoor setting required careful planning to integrate technology seamlessly into the natural environment without compromising the aesthetic appeal.
The solution
In collaboration with IMG Events, we designed and delivered the “Les Gardiens des Bois” (Guardians of the Woods) installation. This unique feature showcases holographic forest creatures, including deer, squirrels, and birds, acting as the guardians of the woodland. The holograms were created using 16 holofans concealed within weatherproof enclosures, ensuring durability in the outdoor environment. The original content, crafted by our design team, brings these guardians to life with captivating animations that blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.
The impact
The Lumières en Seine Light Trail has become a beloved annual event, attracting over 250,000 visitors in previous editions. The “Les Gardiens des Bois” installation added a unique and interactive element to the trail, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
