We were commissioned by event agency, Heart Productions, at the film premiere party for the release of the blockbuster movie, The BFG.
Our brief was to create a ‘Frobscottle’ from the famous Roald Dahl book. A Frobscottle is a giant bottle of fizzy pop, but the bubbles float downwards instead of up. We achieved this using 360 video mapped projections onto the model of the bottle.
The ‘Frobscottle’ was a big hit with guests and even the film’s director, Steven Spielberg, commented on how “amazing” it was – great feedback! The project was a great example of how projection mapping can be used to bring life to almost any object from a small box, to a large building.
